Delays in content, feedback, or approvals may affect timelines and launch dates. In some cases, extended delays may require a change order, rescheduling, or additional fees.

5. Payments and refunds

Project fees, payment schedules, and accepted payment methods will be outlined in your proposal, invoice, or service agreement. In general:

• Deposits or retainers are typically required to reserve your project start date.
• Payments may be split into milestones (for example: deposit, mid-project, final payment).
• Final files or website launches may be dependent on receipt of final payment.

6. Intellectual property

6.1 Our rights

Unless otherwise stated in writing, M Square Designz, LLC retains ownership of:

• Preliminary concepts, sketches, and unused design directions
• Design processes, methods, and frameworks
• Internal tools, templates, and systems used to deliver your project

6.2 Your rights

Once your project is paid in full and completed, you receive a license or ownership rights to use the final, approved deliverables as described in your agreement. This may include:

• Final logo files for branding and marketing
• Website designs and layouts for your business
• Digital assets such as graphics, PDFs, or marketing materials

Unless specified otherwise, this license is for your business’s own use and does not allow you to resell, redistribute, or claim authorship of the design work itself.

6.3 Third-party materials

Some projects may incorporate third-party fonts, stock photos, plugins, or tools that are subject to their own licenses. In those cases:

• You may be required to purchase your own licenses (for example, specific fonts or stock images).
• We will not be responsible for issues arising from misuse or changes to third-party tools.

7. Website hosting, maintenance, and access

For clients who host their websites with M Square Designz or receive maintenance services, additional terms and responsibilities may apply, including:

• Scope of maintenance (updates, backups, minor fixes, etc.).
• What is covered under hosting vs. separate project work.
• How support requests should be submitted and handled.

These details are typically outlined in a separate hosting or maintenance agreement. Changes to hosting providers, DNS settings, or third-party integrations may affect site performance or functionality. We are not responsible for issues caused by changes made without our knowledge or control.

8. Use of work for portfolio and promotion

We may showcase completed projects, case studies, or in progress work for promotional purposes, including on our website, social media, and marketing materials. This may include:

• Screenshots or mockups of your website, dashboards, or designs
• Before-and-after comparisons
• Project descriptions and outcomes

If your project contains sensitive or confidential elements, please let us know in advance so we can discuss any limitations around what can be publicly shared.
